Spotlight on: Alexandra Godfrey: Stylist, Event Organiser!

As most of my regular readers will know I am lucky enough to attend some amazing Catwalk Shows and Fashion Events, and from this I have gotten to know many people in the industry: from models to photographers.......stylists to fashion designers! Some of them have even become very good friends of mine!
One such person is my friend Alex! Alexandra Godfrey: Fashion Stylist, Events Manager, Trendsetter and working mother! Seriously, multi talented doesn't even begin to cover it!!

Alexandra is one of Northern Ireland’s up and coming young fashion stylists and is best known for her work with celebrity fashion houses, beauty firms, advertising agencies and magazine editors. Not only has she studied Textile Art, Design and Fashion but recently she has decided to further branch out by studying a Degree in Events Management!
Like me, Alexandra's passion for fashion started at a young age, in her case 14, and her debut into the fashion circuit was in 2011 with EnVie Magazine. Since then Alexandra has established her freelance career as a Fashion Stylist and it's amazing just how many projects she has been involved in! She has worked with some of Northern Ireland's top professionals such as: Cathy Martin (CMPR); Laurence Doherty (EnVie Magazine); Eve Brannon (Fashion Pharmacy); Lisa Harrison (IN! Magazine); Khara Pringle (Photographer) and Brendan Gallagher (Photographer) to name but a few!
Collaborating and working on a diverse set of Fashion and Lifestyle events which include: The Magners Lite Fall for Fashion; West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK; Styling Katie Larmour for an photo shoot and interview for IN! Magazine; Appeltizer StyleFix; Absolutely the Business; as well assisting in styling for projects such as Miss Northern Ireland and SugahFix.com, Newry Style City, etc. But one of her professional highlights came this January '13 when she collaborated on a shoot which resulted in a photo being used on Vogue Italia online!! (Seriously how amazing is that!!)
Alexandra felt that the next logical step in her career was to organise her own Charitable Fashion Event, and just as I have a very definable sense of style, so does Alex! Which she is hoping to reflect in a fully choreographed and styled Fashion Show and Entertainment Evening on Friday 8th February 2013 at the Stormont Hotel in aid of Tiny Life, Northern Ireland’s only premature and vulnerable baby charity!!
Not only is this event for an extremely worthwhile charity (I myself was born 6wks premature) but having talked to Alexandra I can confirm she has an unbelievable night planned, with top class performers, amazing prizes and stunning fashion from: the extremely talented N.I. designers at UNIFY, Rebro Jewellery by Bronagh, TJs Jems , Shabby Chic Boutique, BJewelled Bridal - Bespoke Jewellery, Rusty Zip, J Lenore Designs, Crystal Love - Customised Shoes, Liberty Blue, Right Tights, Dolled Up, Diamond Dolls & Karen Coyle!
Plus for anyone who wishes to indulge in a little retail therapy there will be lots of stalls to tempt you!!!

Despite achieving so much at such a young age Alexandra has not lost sight of the most important things in her life:
"All of these roles are important to me but my child is my greatest achievement. I am a very family orientated person with a very close-knit family who have supported me in all my achievements and successes." Alexandra believes: "Every man, woman and child deserves to have passion in their lives and express themselves freely whether through their speech, clothing or style. My job is to nurture their individuality. So whether you’re strutting down a runway or running down the street to catch a bus remember, Life’s a Catwalk – so keep on walking!".
