Special Preview of the "Wonderland by Oasis" Collection, on sale from March!
Well we're officially into Spring, and I don't know about you but I am so sick of all this Winter weather!! As much as I loved my AW'12 looks I am more than ready to embrace the Spring, and so when the Oasis PR team contacted me to tell me about their new Wonderland Collection I was beyond excited!! Not due to be launched until March, and only available online and in ten key stores nationwide, the Wonderland Collection is a vibrant, new collection of flirty, party dresses, the perfect going out outfit for Friday night fun!
Even though the collection won't be released until next month, shoppers in Belfast and in Cork were treated to a special preview of the collection, in celebration of Cork being named as "Oasis Store of the Year" (for UK & Ireland) with Belfast following a close second!
Staff in both stores were treated to a day off as both stores were taken over by two teams: Cork's comprising of the Oasis Head Office Executives and Belfast by the Shadow Board, as they went head to head for the day!! (But more of that in another post!!)
While I was unable to make the trip down to Cork, I was however lucky enough to be able to make it to the Belfast event where I was able to meet the In-House Designer for Oasis, Kathryn Pow!!! Kathryn looked stunning in the "Darcy" dress (which I found out was her personal favourite from the collection!) and she was kind enough to personally talk through the collection with me!

Kathryn said inspiration for the collection came from the catwalk's of designers such as Erdem, Valentino and the 50's silhouette, but stilll in keeping with the young style aesthetic that girls have come to know, and love Oasis for!
March will see the launch of the five dresses I was lucky enough to view (and try on), with a further five styles hitting stores in April and another five styles arriving in May! Kathryn also revealed that while the five launch dresses were primarily in the 50's silhouette, there are some body con styles to come in April and May, so plenty to look forward to!!

Willow: Floral, printed, mini-tulip style dress with cut out back detail.
Darcy: Skater style dress with lace back and soft net underskirt in black.
Darcy: Skater style dress with lace back and soft net underskirt in tangerine/coral.
Milan: Floral printed cut out detail skater dress.
Jasmine: Skater style dress, featuring net underskirt with cross strap back detail, in pink.

At the event I was treated to the most delicious mini cupcakes along with a glass of bubbly and a major dressing up session as I got to try on each of the five dresses as well as being pampered by the team from Benefit and nail artists from NS Day Spa!!
Of course the big question you're all asking is did I treat myself to any of the dresses??? Well in the end it came down to two dresses, the beautiful "Willow" dress, with it's stunning floral print in vibrant feminine colours and the cute girly and very flirty "Darcy" dress!! However, it was the "Darcy" with it's skater style, pretty soft net underskirt, and sexy lace back, that stole my heart!! I had the choice of the tangerine/coral or black version and while the tangerine is the perfect colour to herald in the upcoming springtime weather, I opted for the black, as I felt it really was THE perfect LBD!!!

All in all I had an amazing day meeting Oasis In-House Designer Kathryn Pow, (In fact I had the honour of being the first customer Kathryn had ever processed through an Oasis till), as well as chatting to some of the "Shadow Team" who had all flown over from London to take over Belfast for the day!
