A night of Beauty at The Open and Direct Miss Northern Ireland 2013 Belfast Heat!
Thursday, March 07, 2013Every little girl dreams of wearing a crown someday......but for those lucky few, that dream becomes a reality!!
Last year it was the turn of the stunning Tiffany Brien to wear the Miss Northern Ireland crown, and last week the search began to find the Open and Direct Miss Northern Ireland 2013!!
I always try to attend the Belfast heat, not only is it a hugely enjoyable evening, but my cousin is married to a former Miss Northern Ireland, the gorgeous Louisa-Jane Vance (nee Brown) so the contest holds a special place in my heart!
This year the Belfast Heat was held in the decadent surroundings of Cafe Vaudeville, acting as the perfect backdrop to the beautiful contestants!! On arrival we were treated with a glass of champagne, then settled down to enjoy the evenings proceedings!!

I must say I was glad not to be one of the judges as all the contenders were of such a high standard!! But there can be only one Miss Belfast and Miss Cafe Vaudeville and those honours went to Miss Stacey Webb and Miss Emma Ward! I wish them both well as they embark upon their bids to become Miss Northern Ireland 2013 and look forward to seeing how they do at this year's Gala Final on 13th May!!!

Miss Belfast Winner: Stacey Webb.
Miss Cafe Vaudeville winner: Emma Ward.
The Competition's official fashion partners, The OUTLET Village, Banbridge also ran a "Best Dressed" audience member competition and I was lucky enough to be chosen by judge Eve Brannon to be photographed as one of the contenders for the prize! Even though I didn't win, (that honour went to the stunning model Laurina Kennedy) it was lovely to have been considered as a contender for the prize!
I chose to go with this season's trend for neutrals and lace, wearing a cream lace play suit, with vintage sequin bolero! To inject a bit of colour I opted to rock the floral trend with the stunning "Janice" necklace from Rebro Jewellery and green snakeskin accessories! I love creating a pop of colour with my accessories and adore the vibrant green of this snakeskin print belt and matching clutch, both from Karen Millen, whilst I embraced this season's metallic's with my green metallic sandals from Dune.
