Tuesday, December 09, 2014

How many of us look forward to Coca-Cola's iconic 'Holidays Are Coming' advert appearing on our television screens in the run up to the festive season? For many of us it signifies the start of the Christmas season, and tomorrow people across Northern Ireland will enjoy even more festive joy as the unmistakable Coca-Cola Christmas truck prepares to pay a visit to Belfast on Wednesday, 10th December.

The Coca-Cola Christmas truck will arrive in Belfast at 12pm on Wednesday 10th December, stationing itself at the Odyssey Arena, Titanic Quarter until 7pm, bringing with it lots of festive spirit to the city! Visitors to the Coca-Cola Christmas truck will have the chance to take photos with the famous vehicle as it lights up (just like the advert), with the opportunity for their image to be immediately uploaded to their social networks, whilst enjoying a snowy winter wonderland setting and a refreshing Coca-Cola or Diet Coke as a choir sings Christmas hits.

Belfast is just one of seven locations that the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck will visit across the island of Ireland, making its final stop on 14th December in Wexford. Fans will also have the opportunity to take part in a unique experience by getting up close and personal to the famous truck.

Coca-Cola believes in the importance of giving a little happiness over the festive season, so alongside the highly anticipated 'Holidays Are Coming' advert, this year Coca-Cola will launch a new TV advert 'Give a Little Happiness.'

People across Northern Ireland can also spread the happiness by sending Santa a Christmas wish for a friend or loved one at www.cokezone.ie. A limited edition Christmas glass 'ribbon' bottle has also been launched and is available from the website.

Aoife Nagle, Senior Brand Activation Manager with Coca-Cola Ireland said, "Every year the support for our 'Holidays Are Coming' advert enables us to deliver a truly exceptional experience to people across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This year is no exception. As we help celebrate the lead up to Christmas, we're looking forward to arriving in Belfast and being able to give a little happiness to as many people as possible."

Ever since the Coca-Cola Christmas truck first appeared on screens in November 1995, it has become a regular feature of festive TV schedules in more than 100 different countries and is universally recognised as the start of the countdown to Christmas. So why not take this opportunity to connect with your inner child and come visit the iconic Coca-Cola Cristmas truck on it's festive journey!! #HolidaysAreComing #GiveHappiness
