Shop T'il You Drop in Glasgow! £10 day trips with Stena Line!

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Ok, so let me begin by saying a taxi to and from my home to Belfast City Centre costs me roughly £10 total. Now while Belfast city centre does have some fabulous shops, for the same price I could be shopping my little high heeled feet off in all of Glasgow's designer shops for the same price!!!!!!!!

Yep you heard me right!!! Leading ferry company Stena Line has re-launched their fantastic day trip offer from Belfast to Glasgow and as they cost from only £10* return they are seriously budget-busting!! The best part is that everything is organised for you, you won't have to worry about connecting coaches, etc. instead you can be putting your time to better use googling Glasgow to check out all the shops you need to visit!!

Now I remember years ago I used to do this trip on a semi regular basis with my friends, and I still to this day wear many of the fabulous items In picked up in Glasgow, two of my favourites being this oriential style floral top I wore to Belsonic and this super hot purple angora halterneck top to West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK! (So well worth making the trip ladies!).

Now available on even more dates until December 2015, this day trip offer, which operates throughout the week, includes return Superfast ferry travel from Belfast to Cairnryan and return coach transfers from Cairnryan to Glasgow and Ayr.

Stena Line’s Marketing Manager Irish Sea North, Marc Casey, said: “These days, £10 doesn’t get you much but with Stena Line that hard earned tenner can take you all the way to Glasgow and back.

From only £10 per person return, you can shop ‘til you drop at one of Glasgow’s famous shopping districts, take in its world renowned cultural and arts scene or sample a delicious meal at one of the city’s famous restaurants. There is something for everyone in Glasgow and you can have a lively time with a group of friends, take your parents for a relaxed treat, enjoy it with the kids or spend some quality time with your other half.

“Culture vultures can visit the fascinating Kelvingrove Art Gallery, stunning Glasgow Cathedral, iconic Science Centre and Glasgow School of Art.  Foodies will love the huge range of award winning restaurants and delicious cuisine from around the world.  For keen shoppers the Buchanan Galleries, Ingram Street and Princes Square are crammed with designer labels and quirky stores that will keep you occupied for hours.

“When you travel with us, that chilled out feeling starts as soon as you step onboard thanks to the excellent facilities and great customer service.  We have children’s play areas, free onboard movies, free Wi-Fi and a great selection of restaurants and bars for adults to relax in as well as great onboard shopping where savings can be as much as 50% when compared to the high street,” Marc added.

Day trips depart Belfast port at 07:30hrs, arriving in Cairnryan port at 10:00hrs where customers will then travel onto Glasgow by coach arriving into the city at midday. After a fun filled day of exploring all that Glasgow has to offer, they will then depart Glasgow at 16.45hrs for the 19.30 sailing from Cairnryan arriving back into Belfast at 21:45hrs.

So why not take the plunge, get the girls together and head off for a day of shopping and girly lunching for only £10! Have to say I'm already thinking about which shops I gotta visit over these delicious Tunnock's Tea Cakes! Hehe! I just hope Glasgow is ready for me!!
