My Top Picks from George at Asda for AW16 West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK!

Model Sheena MacAuley pictured, ‘down on the farm’ ahead of Belfast FASHIONWEEK, showcasing George’s latest Autumn Winter collection.

I’ve always had such a lovely relationship with the team at George at Asda, from the first time I met them (you can read my interview with them HERE) I immediately respected their love and passion for their designs! First and foremost they focus on their customer and strive to provide them with designs that are both trend led, yet wearable and at an affordable price point for everyone! They really understand their customer base and I always look forward to seeing their new season collections on the West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK catwalk!

This Autumn Winter 2016 will see George launch their country-heritage inspired range, which will debut at FASHIONWEEK on Friday 21st October! Using riding-inspired tweeds and inspiration from the 40s and 50s they have created a really strong womenswear collection for the season.

Kim Walsh, Regional George Manager for Northern Ireland, explains, “We’re delighted to launch our George AW16 collection, we’ve created a truly ‘George-ous’ womenswear range that will appeal to everyone. Our latest collection draws on country-inspired themes – from fur-trimmed tweed gloves to cool dungarees, we are bringing country with a twist to Belfast this season! Guests at ‘High Street Heaven’ Night can expect to see more of our ‘Country Heritage’ looks plus seventies-inspired, ‘Folklore,’ and we’ll be staying ‘strong in style’ with our ‘Athleisure’ range. We’re really excited to be involved with FASHIONWEEK again and can’t wait to showcase our looks!”

With only two weeks to go until West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK I thought I would give you a sneak peek at what you can expect to see on the catwalk this October along with my top picks from the new season collection!

Faux fur is everywhere! From fur lined hoods, to cute pom poms adorning hats and handbags, make sure to add a little fur to your wardrobe this season!

Faux leather jacket £30. Faux fur padded coat £30.
Fur Pom Poms.
Faux Fur pom beanie £6. Faux faux pom kettle bag £14.
Cosy neutral knits.
Time to wrap up this season with super soft and cosy knits, funnel knits and long line tunics are the perfect items to style with leather leggings or stylish tweed for a warm and stylish look!

Cowl neck jumper £14. Cowl neck jumper £16.
Pattern and Tweed.
Once again patterns remain strong for Autumn Winter, the heritage trend is massive however it has an enduring look which can be worn season after season! This tweed check blazer is my hero piece of the collection, while I can never say no to a stylish wrap as the perfect cover up!

Check blazer £20. Fringed trim printed wrap £12.
Statement print.
Colder shoulder....CHECK! Pattern.....CHECK! Purple's and maroon's.......CHECK! what can I say this dress ticks all the boxes and is a super flattering style for most body shapes! This dress will fly off the rails!

Purple tribal print dress £14.
Pyjama Party!
Last season saw the rise of the silk pyjama trend for daywear! Whilst I wasn't brave enough to wear it myself I am however a massive fan of luxurious night wear and this jacquard set is super feminine and girly! (If you're brave enough you could even take the chemise and layer it over a T-Shirt or jumper for a cute daytime look!).

Jacquard trouser set £14. Jacquard chemise £8.

Jacquard wrap £10.
So there you have it, my top pieces from the George AW16 collection! I for one can't wait to check out the new season collection on the stylish FASHIONWEEK catwalk, and I shall see you all there!
