Northern Ireland’s ‘Material Girl’ Celebrates New Premises for Roycroft Interiors!

Saturday, May 18, 2013

At a time when economic growth has been difficult it's always important to support our local retailers, and so it was great to hear that Ruth Coates from Lisburn-based interiors business, Roycroft Interiors, was opening new premises in Lisburn!!

Having started her career over 13 years ago making curtains from her sun room, Ruth has gone from a handful of clients and 2am deadlines to managing a dedicated team in sophisticated new premises where business has continued to buck the trend and grows from strength to strength.

To celebrate Roycroft Interiors’ success, the Studio recently hosted an open evening for customers old and new at its Lisburn premises to which I was very kindly invited! Unfortunately I was unable to attend but that hasn't stopped me from having all the goss from the evening!!

With entertainment from local musician Steven Johns, canapés and a drinks reception courtesy of Carnaby Brownguests had the opportunity to shop an exclusive collection of 150 cushions which were especially commissioned for the night! Also, guests were invited to enter a raffle to win a chic, pink mini chaise in aid of breast cancer charity Pretty ‘n’ Pink. So there was plenty to see and do on the night!

Guest's were suitably attired for such an evening and I especially loved proprietor Ruth Coates' stunning floral satin dress! With it's delicate ruching along the waist it created the perfect silhouette in this season's biggest trend, florals!

Ruth’s love for her craft is fantastically reflected in the studio’s extensive collection of 40 different fabric houses and a mesmerising library of stunning sample books. So unique is this offering that when combined with Roycroft Interiors’ unique on-site manufacturing, this company is an out-and-out gem, streets ahead of the competition and already gaining presence in Scotland, England and even as far afield as Spain. At home, Ruth’s designs are often found gracing the pages of Northern Ireland’s top glossy social and interior magazines. So for anyone who wants something truly special and unique, look no further than Roycroft Interiors!
