Outfit Post: Enjoying the Sun in Karen Millen Florals!

Here in Northern Ireland, good weather is a somewhat rare occurrence, and so when we find ourselves with a good spell of warm weather it's best to make the most of it!!
During our recent heat wave I headed off to Bangor Castle and it's stunning Walled Garden!! With clear blue skies and hot sun, I felt like I was holidaying in Europe, sipping tea in a cosmopolitan al fresco dining area surrounded by palm trees! A lovely area through the year, the sun really brought the place to life and it really was THE perfect way to enjoy the fabulous weather!
Palm trees, a stunning fountain and a sea of beautiful flowers greeted me, with such a fabulous backdrop I couldn't resist doing a mini photoshooot of my new outfit!

I've been loving this season's girly skater style dress silhouette, and I fell in love with Karen Millen's version! Not only was it made of a lovely heavy cotton which perfectly holds the dress shape, it also boasts a sexy cut-out back and super cute concealed pockets! It was great to finally get some good weather to show it off!
As for how I would style it, I wanted to keep it light, bright and summery, so I paired it with my new favourite handbag, a white Limited Edition Studded mini tote (GQ169) and it's matching Limited Edition studded purse (GQ162) both from Karen Millen! I then picked out the pink/coral hues of the dress' floral motif through my Balenciaga giant gold cuff in colour Rose Corail lambskin leather, and a cute pink enamelled flower ring I had received as a gift! To finish the look off I wanted to channel my inner "Carrie Bradshaw" and wear some show stopping shoes!! These came in the form of some L.K. Bennett peep toe sandals! Not only did they boast skyscraper heels, they also had a contrasting leopard ponyskin to its cherry leather, elevating them style wise to a whole other level!!

Of course my outfit wouldn't have been complete without a truly fabulous pair of designer shades!! While I may have a petite face, I'm totally obsessed with statement, oversized sunglasses, which if chosen wisely can still suit petite features! (Think Jackie Onassis or Nicole Richie!) For this ensemble I went for retro chic in the form of my Fabris Lane "Trieste" Round Glamour Sunglasses! It's hard not to feel glamorous when wearing these shades!
Oh how I wish every day could be as perfect, but at least I have the pictures to remember it by!
