It may not have been the best Summer so far, but that doesn't hmean that we can't make the most of it when the sun does appear, and where better to enjoy the sun's rays than at Belfast's hottest new bar, The Perch!

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of The Perch back in June, and from the second I walked through their doors I was captivated! Situated on the 5th floor at 42 Franklin Street, you are instantly greeted with the melodic sounds of bird calls and delicate shrubbery, truly bringing the outdoors indoors and creating a magical feel to the whole experience!

You can either choose to walk the stone spiral staircase (bird calls enticing you to the top) or take the retro manned elevator to the 5th floor! Once there it truly is a spectacle, a feature bar decorated with birdcages greets you, while the open roof at the back of the Perch entices you to explore further! Once there you find yourself a walking under grass, with the option of sitting on a selection of funky outdoor furniture, where you can enjoy the sun and clear blue sky!

As for drinks, well I couldn't help but try out the cocktail list with a very good friend of mine and we can happily report back that they taste every bit as good as they look! Food wise you can expect a selection of freshly cooked barbecue style treats, I opted for the Prawn & chorizo skewers with red pepper aioli & flat bread as well as the grilled bruschetta with tomato & basil and both were utterly delicious!!!
