The Coast Best Dressed Lady Competition Comes to it's Exciting End atPunchestown Racing Festival!
Saturday, April 27, 2013The Real Elle Woods has had such a fantastic time reporting on all the beautifully dressed ladies at this years Punchestown Racing Festival, and Day 5 certainly didn't disappoint as the Coast Best Dressed Competition came to an exciting close and the overall winner of the top prize was chosen!
The winner of Coast's Best Dressed Lady was today crowned by X-Factor's Louis Walsh as the most stylish lady of the 5 day festival! Niamh Rothwell, mother of 3, and wife of racehorse trainer Philip Rothwell, won the much coveted overall prize, provided by Coast. Niamh has won a jet-set international shopping spree to three flagship Coast stores around the world - to London, Madrid and New York - for herself a friend, with EUR1,000 to spend at each store, plus all flights and 5 star hotel accommodation.
Judging the Best Dressed finalists today were X-Factor's Louis Walsh, Celebrity Stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick, Chairman of Aurora Fashions Ian Galvin, and Managing Director of Coast Margaret McDonald.
Niamh caught Louis Walsh's eye in the Punchestown Pavilion, and was presented with a magnum of Champagne Bollinger, a bouquet of flowers, and a Coast goodie bag with details of her amazing prize, which she can use in 3 separate international trips to London, Madrid and New York, with a partner of her choice for each trip.
Niamh wore a black lace Coast dress which her husband Philip bought for her at Christmas, and teamed it with an elegant white Hobbs jacket, a beautiful black Philip Treacy headpiece, gloves from Penneys, shoes by Bally and a handbag from Whistles.
Niamh confessed that in recent months she has given up smoking and become a fitness fanatic, she is taking part in a duathalon next week in her home town. The Coast dress her husband bought for her at Christmas didn't fit her until recent weeks after all her recent training, so she decided to wear it to the Coast Ladies Day Final this afternoon at Punchestown.
Niamh commented "I'm so thrilled and genuinely shocked at winning the overall prize today! I come to Punchestown every year, but I've never won anything in the Best Dressed competition before! I love Coast and am so excited about the fantastic prize!"
Niamh met Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the parade ring after being announced as the winner of Punchestown, before enjoying some bubbles in the champagne tent.
Louis Walsh commented, "I spotted Niamh almost immediately as we were eating lunch in the Pavillion, she stood out because of her headpiece initially but then I thought her whole look was very classic. I had great fun today, even with the wind and rain, it's what to expect in Ireland! I had a great time!"
Lisa Fitzpatrick commented, "We saw some amazing style today - the ladies at Punchestown always turn out in glamour, and even with the bad weather we really saw that they saved the best looks for last. We wanted a winner who was dressed appropriately for the turning weather but also someone who really dressed up for Ladies Day. Niamh exuded that for us, and we were thrilled to give her the Coast prize."
Margaret McDonald Managing Director of Coast commented, "I am thrilled that we found such a perfect winner in Niamh for Coast's Best Dressed Lady at Punchestown. At Coast we specialise in elegant occassionwear and Niamh reflected this perfectly in her look today. Louis picked her out and then we realised she was wearing Coast and had styled it beautifully! We will ensure that Niamh has an amazing time at each of our Coast stores in London, Madrid and New York, and I look forward to hearing all about her spending sprees at Coast around the world!"
