Spring/Summer arrives with a blast at Dublin's Oasis Press Day!

I must confess I'm seriously loving all the new Spring Summer trends for this season! Goodbye to drab & dreary and hello to vibrant and fun! Think sorbet pastels and fun and flirty florals and you're on the right track!! As a blogger I'm lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the upcoming trends of some of my favourite brands, and so it was with great excitement that I received an invite to preview Oasis Spring Summer '14 collection in Dublin!! I must confess Oasis is a brand that I always associate as being effortlessly youthful and fun, and as you can tell from the official photos from the Press Day this collection certainly lives up to that!
The collection places a strong emphasis on pattern, with fun pastel prints and an endless variety of pretty florals in modern, chic silhouettes which can be styled in a variety of ways! Think contrasting patterns and colours which create a "matchy-patchy" look rather than "matchy-matchy" to give an exciting new feel to the co-ordinated look!

Take the same pattern and contrast it with clashing pastel hues to obtain the look, or for the really brave clash your florals for a modern take on summer florals!

The city shorts suit look is still strong, given a feminine feel through pretty florals, or for that weekend relaxed look work the trend in an effortless jump suit that can be styled with flats for daytime, or paired with skyscraper heels and a killer leather jacket for an edgy evening ensemble!

Prints are key, from a myriad of florals, through to marble effects, tribal motifs, monochrome and striking snakeskin jacquards, there will be a print to suit everyone! Focusing in on luxurious fabrics, the collection comprises of pretty satin, mixed with opulent jacquards, textured suede fabrics, lazer cut leather and Broderie Anglaise making each piece feel truly special to the wearer!

The must have hero piece of the collection has to be the skirt, none more so than the A line & pencil, which have now moved out of the office and are given a fresh and youthful feel! Worn at a demure midi length, their ladylike feel is directly contrasted with flirty cropped tops, in shell, bralet or tee shapes! This is the new way to work ladylike chic and I'm loving it!!

Sorbet pastels in ice cream colours, from pistachio and lemon to peach and sunny chartreuse, with a little delftware blue, burnt orange and even chilli red thrown in for good measure become the highlights of the collection! Don't be afraid of colour and embrace it, these colours will shine in the sun and would brighten up any girls day!!
I hope like me you've enjoyed checking out some of Oasis key SS14 pieces, as you browse through the photos from the press day you too will be longing for the good weather to kick in so we can start wearing some of these amazing designs!! Is it really bad if I admit that I want EVERTYHING in this post?? Hehe!
