Marie Curie's pinning its hopes on you this March with the launch of the Great Daffodil Appeal!

Model agency owner, Tracey Hall, Marie Curie Nurse, Dympna Devlin and TV personality, Pamela Ballantine launching Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal 2014!

I believe very strongly in supporting charitable organisations and one charity I've had the privilege to work with has been Marie Curie Cancer Care. They are an amazing charitable organisation, whose work really makes a difference in the lives of those suffering with cancer, as well as supporting and giving help to their friends and family.

So it's with great pleasure that I announce Marie Curie have just launched their iconic Great Daffodil Appeal 2014! Their aim, to encourage local people to help raise vital funds for the charity by making a donation and wearing a daffodil pin throughout the month of March! This season's most covetable accessory if I do say so myself!

This year's flagship appeal is being supported by TV personality, Pamela Ballantine, model agency owner, Tracey Hall and Marie Curie Nurse, Dympna Devlin. The trio are appealing to people to support the appeal to help Marie Curie Nurses provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and in the Marie Curie Hospice in Belfast.

Commenting on the launch, Pamela Ballantine said: "Please wear a daffodil and make a donation this March to support Marie Curie Nurses, who work tirelessly to give patients the best care possible."

Tracey Hall continued: "Everyone out there knows someone who has been affected by terminal illnesses. The more we can do to ensure people receive the vital care they need the better. Get out there and get your pin for this worthy cause."
Marie Curie Nurse, Dympna Devlin, added: "We hope everyone will wear a daffodil pin this March to support the charity. The generous donations make it possible for Marie Curie Nurses like me to provide more free care to terminally ill people and their families at the time when they most need support."

As well as local volunteer collectors, Marie Curie will be supported by the Lions Clubs of the British Isles and Ireland in March, with hundreds of collections being held by Lions Club members across the country on behalf of the charity.

Daffodil pins can be picked up from Marie Curie volunteer collectors, local stores and Marie Curie shops throughout the month of March. I certainly will be sporting my super cute daffodil pin with all my stylish ensembles and I hope many of my readers will be setting the trend and will choose to wear one too!!

There will also be fundraising events taking place nationwide. For more information on how to get involved in the Great Daffodil Appeal, please contact Marie Curie on 0800 716 146 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/
