Winner of Junk Kouture 2014 Revealled!!
Wednesday, May 14, 2014I've feally enjoyed following this year's Junk Kouture competition, as not only does the competition really help to both encourage and channel the creative talents of our young people, but I'm always blown away at the originality and immense talent of the entrants!!
The competition reached it's exciting conclusion recently at The O2 in Dublin, where eighty cutting edge designs took to the stage for the Grand Finale of Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition 2014! Students from across Ireland stormed the catwalk to showcase their designs in front of a sold out crowd.
Junk Kouture 2014, supported by Bank of Ireland and European Recycling Platform (ERP), enlisted the help of an outstanding judging panel for this year’s competition. Former Miss World Rosanna Davison judged her very first Grand Final alongside TV presenter & Stylist Darren Kennedy, Tracey Fahey (LSAD) and Yvonne Holmes (ERP). The expert judging panel hand-picked the outfits that were crowned winners of Junk Kouture 2014!
Elizabeth has said, ‘Every finalist deserved to walk the walk the catwalk in the O2 tonight. The standard of outfits was unbelievable on every level. The judges had an unenviable job on their hands to decide on the winners of Junk Kouture 2014’.
