If there is one thing I love it's a good girly day out, which in my case usually involves a long leisurely lunch with friends, over cocktails and if possible a little fashion and retail therapy thrown in for good measure!!

Well it would seem that I'm not the only one who finds this an irresistible combination as following on from the success of the Sushi Saturday event at West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK in October, the fabulous combination of sushi and style is back at once again at one of my favourite restaurants, at the popular Asian eaterie SHIRO for a "Festive Edition" this weekend!

I've had the pleasure of eating many times in Shiro since it's opening earlier this year and I can honestly say from it's über chic interior to it's delectable food and delicious cocktails, Shiro always impresses!

The event, which is taking place this Saturday and Sunday will comprise of a fun filled afternoon of food, cocktails and fashion, with guests receiving a delicious cocktail on arrival, followed by a three course Asian influenced afternoon tea, an intimate fashion show featuring womenswear and menswear from Rio|Brazil and Mr & Mrs Stitch.com, and a very special "After Show" Party in Rio|Brazil's fabulous store in Wellington Place where guests can shop the looks direct from the show!

Steven Simpson from Rio|Brazil and Mr & Mrs Stitch said: “We’ve been in Belfast for 35 years and have an incredibly loyal customer base who love their fashion – as well as a constant flow of new shoppers among the visitors to the city. Textures are key, mixing knits with luxurious faux fur, and lace for an elegant and sophiscated take on classic black! Or for something a little different mixing striking prints such as tartan with snakeskin to give a day time look a lux feel!

With hair by Peter Mark and make up provided by Paddy McGurgan’s frankly amazing Make Up Pro team, the event is set to be a suitably stylish affair and a perfect day out for festive fashionistas. I for one cannot wait to attend this weekend!! Now all I have to do is decide what to wear!! Hehe!
