A LIDL bit of Christmas Magic at St Anne's Square!

Friday, December 05, 2014

Last month Lidl treated press and invited guests to a special preview of their Christmas pop up market at St George's Market (click HERE to read all about it!) which I have to say was amazing! Packed with delicious foodie treats, from smoked salmon and trout, to mouth watering turkey and warming mulled wine, it was such a fun evening and I'm extremely pleased to announce that the market will be returning next week to Belfast at St Anne's Square!
The market will run for four days from Thursday, 11th – Sunday, 14th December in St. Anne’s Square in the heart of Belfast city centre, and best of all, admission will be free! From traditional stalls offering the best of Lidl’s mouth-watering, seasonal food and drink, to ‘Santa Land’ and a Christmas carousel sure to delight both young and old alike, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy at the Lidl markets this Christmas, and all proceeds from both ‘Santa Land’ and the Christmas carousel will go directly to Lidl NI’s charity partner, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.

The Belfast market is one of four traditional markets being run by Lidl around the country this Christmas. With the other markets taking place in Eyre Square, Galway (21st – 24th November), CHQ in Dublin (27th – 30thNovember) and the Hunt Museum in Limerick (4th – 7thDecember).

Customers are invited to come along and soak up some seasonal joy at the magical winter wonderland. At the market you can sample or buy from an array of goodies from the Deluxe, Favorina and seasonal ranges, like festive cakes, gingerbread biscuits, chocolate nibbles and mince pies. Visit the traditional German Bratwurst hut and enjoy an authentic hotdog or delicious Northern Irish hamburger. But of course no Christmas market would be complete without warm Gluehwein! (Which I can testify is utterly delicious!) Choose from alcoholic or non-alcoholic Deluxe mulled punch, the perfect accompaniment to festive nibbles.

For families, let your little ones discover the true magic of Christmas with a trip to the special letter drop, where they can send that important list to Santa. Enjoy some festive fun witha ride on the Christmas carousel for only £2 per person. Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa himself, rounding the day off with a visit to Santa Land to meet Mr. Claus in his very own grotto! (A visit to Santa, including a present, costs £8 per child). 100% of the proceeds for both the carousel and visits to Santa will go directly to Lidl NI’s dedicated charity partner, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.

Admission to The Lidl Christmas Markets is FREE. However visits to Santa must be booked in advance. For more information or to book a visit to Santa, visit www.lidlchristmasmarkets.com. I for one can't wait! See you all there!
