Jason Clarke wow's at his Merchant Hotel acoustic gig!

One of my favourite places to visit is The Merchant Hotel, 5 star luxury at it's very best and so it was with great excitement that I headed off last week to their Rooftop Garden for a very special event!

Following on from the success of his debut single ‘Gotta Go’, and his most recent single ‘Loving You’, Belfast singer/songwriter Jason Clarke performed an intimate acoustic gig on the rooftop of The Merchant for fans, family and friends.

Many will probably know him best for his recent single "Loving You" and it's accompying video starring local model Katie Larmour. But Jason is far from a "one trick pony", and wowed his audience with a hugely enjoyable acoustic set which perfectly showcased his vocal range and musical talent!

The Merchant's beautiful rooftop garden acted as the perfect backdrop to such an event, with the wind and rain drowned out as Jason's fingers danced across his guitar strings and dazzled the audience with his fantastic voice! His set included many of his original songs, from his catchy debut single "Gotta Go" to my personal favourite the wonderful "Undercover". However I was truly blown away his acoustic cover of the iconic song "Man In The Mirror", a song that perfectly suited Jason's voice, giving the piece a wonderful haunting melody, truly stunning!

Jason was also supported by local talent Triona Carville and Ryan McMullan, and I especially enjoyed his duets with Triona, as their voices perfectly blended and complimented each other, a match made in music heaven! In the 28 year old’s short career Jason has supported Paolo Nutini, Ronan Keating, Brian Kennedy and Shane Ward on tour. However something tells me it won't be long until he's the one headlining concerts! Afterwards he freely mingled and chatted to guests, and it was lovely to hear his passion and enthusiasm for his music, and future plans! Certainly in my case he's gained a fan and I for one cannot wait for his next live performance!

Afterwards guests celebrated with Jason at his VIP after party at the Merchant's opulent night club, Ollies and celebrated the night's success in style!

One of my one "Instagram" photos of the night, along with the limited "Merchant Edition" of Jason Clarke's "Undercover" EP.

I of course chose to wear my favourite label, Karen Millen to the event! Opting for a vintage Karen Millen asymmetrical top in a rich coffee brown I complimented it with a firm favourite of mine, one of Karen Millen's body con bandage skirts! This one was in contasting stripes of caramel and cream hues and with it's form fitting cut and high waist it worked perfectly with my top! Accessories wise, I carried through caramel tones, in the form of my Jasper Conran ostrich leather handbag, and my fabulous L.K. Bennett leopard print pony skin & suede peep toe sandals!

Vintage Asymmetrical sleeved top (TP102), Stripe knit skirt (KN189); both from Karen Millen. Vintage acrylic crossover amber cuff, Ostrich leather handbag by Jasper Conran and L.K. Bennett leather and pony skin "Cheyne" peep toe sandals.
